Had a problem getting the IPAC 4 to program....fixed that problem with the latest update from Andy. Shift problem still exist. Can someone please email the default config file for the IPAC4.....Greatly appreciated..

Hmmm.... I guess of the 85 people that built this must have keyboard hacks and no IPACS, strange indeed :P, emailed Andy, I'm sure he will send me the correct file

I guess I could email you the Keywiz software, but I doubt it'd do what you're looking for....

Didn't the IPAC4 come with a CD with the original CFG stuff on it?
Seems like it would be much quicker to get this stuff direct from Andy instead of waiting for someone here.

First thing I did was try the CD, but no luck. I thought I would try here first because I know Andy is a busy person and thought it would be easier to ask someone who might be browsing the boards, either way, I emailed Andy, it's not something major so it can wait.

Can't you just go to the text-based programming tool and reset it to its defaults? You need a PS2 keyboard attached to the I-Pac I believe. With the jumper set to "Alt," open up a text editing program (Notepad works fine) and hit [Ctrl]+[Alt]+P. One of the choices will be to "reset to default configuration." Of course, this is for the older ones that have a jumper. :) Not sure how the newer jumperless ones I've heard about would work.
I'm not near my Ultimarc disk now, but I can't imagine that the Windows GUI Interactive Programming thing doesn't have an option to set the thing back to default as well.

The program does say set to default and I did that, but my shift key funcitonality is not coming back and I'm not exactly familiar with how to do the dos based programming

I don't know what it is exactly that you are looking for because I only have the CD... I haven't actually installed my IPAC yet.
What you could do if it is WinIPAC you are having problems with is delete the following files:
WINIPAC.IPC
WINIPAC.INI
WINIPAC.CFG
The next time you run WinIPAC, it will recreate them with the default setting. You will want to back up your files first though.
I'm not sure if this helps, like I said I haven't actually played with my IPAC yet.

Just a tip - you'd probably have gotten an answer earlier if you had given your post a more descriptive title. For example, if you had called it "Need default config for IPAC4" I would have known not to look at this thread since I don't have an IPAC4 and am therefore of no use to you. On the other hand, someone who owns an IPAC4 would probably have been more likely to click on it, knowing that they could possibly help you.

Guess I should have been more descriptive in my post and I apologize for than. Andy emailed me back and told me to do the same thing as jerschwab suggested, but it still is not working. What confused me is that I can still escape by pressing the 1 and 2 player start buttons, just no enter, tab, or pausing working.
