Title: Out of range on certain game
Post by: danyboy on September 04, 2004, 02:39:41 pm
Hi....

I have a pc monitor on my cabinet, plugged on a 3d proghet gts pro
nvidia chipset, and i ran a lot of game but i have problem with a couples of them.

After burner
After burner 2
Outrun

I got a blank screen with a message from the monitor saying...

OUT OF RANGE

I  saw somewhere, maybe here, to put down the 3d acceleration until
it run, so i did it, but the game is ugly, like it's in 8 colors.

I'm running Windows XP, using Mamewah, but it's the same thing if i start mame from the command prompt.
Any advice on this problem...?

Try setting your games properties to a resolution your monitor can understand.  For example, you mentioned you have a PC monitor, so if you are using command mame, I would try adding commands like to the MAME command line:

-400x300
-512x384
-640x480
-800x600
-1024x768

Till you find one that works

If you are using MAME32, then oen the properties for those games, and set the resolution accordingly.

Ok, but like i said, i'm using Mamewah,
so is it possible to do this in Mamewah?
(having a command line just for specific games?)

But i'll try your tip tonight....
