Does anyone know of a good source for those padded swivel stools with the chrome ringed base?
US only.
Thanks!
-
OHHHHH, the padded and swivel kind! I was gonna say, I have a yard full of stools you can have for free...
-
Here are some I found when I was searching, but I haven't actually bought from any of these people yet:
Acemart (http://www.acemart.com/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=AM&Category_Code=E2-2-1)
Foodservicedirect (http://www.foodservicedirect.com/index.cfm/S/285/Bar_Stools_With_Backs.htm)
Eurway (http://www.eurway.com/subcategories.lasso?cat=95&-token.id=9696842)

LOL! Right there with ya!
Happ Controls sells them: http://www.happcontrols.com/home/26151516.htm (http://www.happcontrols.com/home/26151516.htm)
There are cheaper ones on e-bay,
example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=38201&item=4321298319&rd=1 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=38201&item=4321298319&rd=1)
Cheaper, probably not as nice, but I'd be curious if anybody has any reviews.....

I saw some similar stools at Harbor Freight a couple weeks ago. I think they were around 30 dollars.
Also, Checker, Pep Boys and AutoZone have some similar ones for about the same price. Though these have logos (Nascar, Ford, etc) on them- but I think I saw a plain black one.

Also try any general auctions/flea markets in your area. I passed up a beautiful set of 4 padded red chrome barstools with backs a couple of weeks ago because I simply didn't need them. I ended up with a groovy 60's style pair (1 good, 1 for parts) for $10 at a local flea market instead. Much more comfy than the hard-ass wooden one I bought at Target when I got impatient!
ARCADIAC!

I went with bar height deck chairs from Pier One. You can find these on sale from time to time for < $30.
It's nice to be able to lean back and relax when playing game that is 2 player alternating.

I have a pair of the Happs stools. They are nice and I love them, but be warned that they feel really hard if you sit on them for too long.

Yeah, I'll give you a review of those. They are the biggest pieces of crap made. I've seen them in person. Cheap as all hell.

Your too late.
The BEST place is garage sales.
During a nice Saterday morning... you should be able to find a nice set each week all summer.
I more then doubled my 'collection' this year... I had 2 I got in new mexico a year ago... and I search and found 4 more that exactly match the originals for 2 bucks each.
Took me 2 weeks of searching.

There is a place in Philadelphia call Mr. Barstool. They have every kind of stool you would ever want. And maybe some that you don't want.
