Title: Fixed filters, now some games dont work that worked before!...help!!
Post by: vettetek on September 02, 2004, 06:27:19 pm
Ok, Im weeding out all the bugs in my cab now. It works beautifully, but after I fixed the xml2info problem (not getting any game info or long filenames), now some games like primal rage and jurrassic park dont work. They worked before, in fact my 3 year old loves em and I NEED to get em working! Any ideas? I think its in the filtering, the data for the game says not playable, so I think its inhibiting me from starting it. im getting close, but yet so far!
Thanks for all the help thus far!

Have you changed mame versions?

When you say they don't work what exactly happens?

yah,
I am running the latest version of advmame. When I say they dont work, I can go down the list and get to the game...lets say galaga, First of all its not in my main list, it  - and others - were put into an alternate list, and when I try to press the 1 player key, it doesnt do anything..its like i didnt press the key. It wont run the game. The thing is all these games that I have a problem with were in my list before I refreshed it with xml2info, and when I had the actual filenames fisplayed instaid of the full actual names. So I know - or think - its something in the filtering.

Try re-applying the filters so that you get the game descriptions appear, then try again.
