Title: slight "flicker"
Post by: exibar on September 01, 2004, 06:20:03 pm
I have a slight flicker in my P538 WG 25" monitor.  It's not exactly a flicker, but a slight fade in and out.  It's very slight, just kind of like a flourescent lightbulb type thing, if you look at the lit bulb closely you can see a slight flicker going down the tube.

This "flicker" is on the whole picture, and again is slight.  I'd like to fix it, anyone have any recomendations on what circuit to start in?

or have I just totally confused everyone and no-one will respond because everyone has no clue to what I'm talking about  :-)

  thanks all!

I think I know what you mean. The right hand side of my 19" WG monitor "pulses" it's brightness in and out at a constant rate, at a guess I'd say about 10Hz or thereabouts. It does it whether the room lighting is on or not, so it's not a phase issue with the strobing effect of the room lighting either.

So far I'm not sure what the problem is bt I'm guessing it's probably a physical problem with the monitor board components (capacitors I guess). It's not really intrusive when playing but I do like to have things perfect.....
