Not sure if this is the correct forum, but here goes.
I have a 4-player TMNT machine. Sounds works fine for approx 5-10 minutes and then a lot of the sound stop working. Every now and then the sounds will play, but then go silent again. Any thoughts as to whether this is an easy fix? I am considering purchasing a new board for it since I think I am going to sell the machine and would prefer to sell it in perfect working order.
Any help would be appreciated.

It's an original PCB, not a MAME machine right?
When you say "a lot of the sound stops working", do you mean some samples don't play, or all sound is intermitent or what?
Has it ever worked properly?
Have you tried the obvious, such as checking everything is hooked up correctly, all plugs are firmly in place, etc.
Do you have another game to test it with?

Sorry - it is all original, not a mame cabinet. I did crack it open and all wires appear to be connect on board, especially those leading to speaker. I unhooked main connection and re-hooked it to make sure secure.
I don't know if it ever worked properly. I just recently purchased it thinking I was going to mame it. The sound effects and music work pefect for several minutes, and then most of them stop working. That is the best I can explain it.
I assume it is not a problem with the speaker, else it would do that right from start up. I just don't want to invest in another board if it a problem unrelated thereto.
I do not have another game to test it with.
Thanks for the response.

Problem might be solved. TUrned up volume on the board and I do not get the dropouts on initial testing. Not sure why that made a difference. I guess I don't care as long as it is fixed.
