Title: Will a Tekken 3 board go in a Tekken 2 game?

I was just wondering if I can put a Tekken3 board in my Tekken 2 machine without modification.  They're both JAMMA and both use a standard resolution monitor.  But I think the Tekken 2 is a Namco System 11 board and the Tekken 3 is a Namco System 12 board and I don't know what that means exactly.

They are both JAMMA and will both use the same harness. They are swapable.

Yes, I have done this swap personally.
Works just fine.
