It is a Kaga Electronics EZ-18EN-A 18" monitor. Bought it today, never been used, though have been laying around in a warehouse for X years.
Any idea how old this is?
I'd like some help with a few things. I don't know much about electronics and want to be 100% everything is connected correctly so I don't blow the damn thing.
1. There's 5 wires coming from the monitor to the video plug: red,green,blue, black, white
Other than the obvious red, green and blue, how should these be connected to the arcadevga? I guess the black and white are composite sync and ground but which one is which?
Anyone know if this monitor needs a video amp?
2. How do I connect the isolation transformer to the monitor? Which colour wires go together?

On the right you can see the mains coming in. There's also a second ground wire, a short one which is supposed to be bolted to the cab? Is this neede or can I just leave it alone?
On the left there's two 110V (or 115V I think, cause the mains here is 230V instead of 220V) outputs. Which two wires I should connect to the monitor? The monitor has black and red wires in the power plug. By the way, will few volts' difference have any effect on the monitor? Because I don't think it's exactly meant to be used at 115V.
When it is connected, will I get electrocuted if I touch the isolation transformer?

Well I can't help you with the isolation transformer, but the black wire on your video connector will be your ground, and the white is your composite sync.

Damn! After all the problem I went through to get this thing, I now think I'll have to once again call the seller (have had a lot of problems with these guys, but they are the only place I can get a monitor where I live)... I looked at the chassis, and it says AC 100V on the input connector, and from what I learned with the search this would need some special isolation transformer, the 110/115V one they sold me won't do the job.. Please anyone confirm this or better even tell me I'm wrong. :(

Assuming now that I'm correct and it won't work.
From the little information I have found on the net these Kaga/nanao monitors could be up to 20 years old. Will it work ok after sitting for so long without use? I will of course have to ask them to give me another isolation transformer, which they might not even have.
My other choice is to ask for another monitor, they had some atari cabs that I think are from the year 1994 (generic jammas made for Finnish company RAY) and have wells gardner monitors in them, but they are all used and probably have screen burn in them, don't know if I'm up to a cap kit change etc. The price will be the same no matter if I take a used or a new monitor.

sounds like an excellent kit for a cocktail cab. especially the new screen. the isolating transformer converts my local mains voltage to japan/usa voltage of 110vAC & apparently is extra protection from mains. you should be able to get one from youre local arcade. i got my whole setup from one, even got the guy to swap screens for me. if you are sure the wirings ok > IN MY EXPERIENCE < its ok to power up without a game board FOR A SHORT PERIOD. you should hear the screen squeel a bit. of course after that there will be dangerous voltages all over the place.
