Title: Fixing a NES? Help Me Refind a forum
Post by: Shredder on August 26, 2004, 06:52:20 pm
Hello,

A few months back, I posted a topic about trying to fix my NES Console, and someone recomended me to another forum.  All  I remember about it is that it had a black background, Space invader ship icons on it, and I beleive VID was in the title.

I know it's a long shot that the same perso nwho saw this note then is reading it now, but if someone could regive the link, it'd be most appreciated thanks :)

What's wrong with your NES? Flashing blue screen? You probably only need to replace the cart connector. You can get one on ebay for about $8 and it takes about 15 minutes to swap it out. There's no soldering, you just pull the old one off the board and push the new one on.

Re- Vintage Gaming..

That looks like the site I was looking for, thanks.  Although it seems like they cleared out alll their old posts, as I can't find the note I was looking for.  Someone told me about a product called a GBA Time Machine, that could play NES Games on your GBA SP with  an included US Adapater.  They gave me two websites.  One was success-hk.com where it was 39.99,  the other was for 49.99.

Considering the pricing charges, I went with the success-hk.com site.  However, I feel like I got ripped off.  Not only did they charge my Credit card for a pre-order item, it's now 4 months later and they STILL don't have it in stock, while Lik-sang has it up in stock.

Now I'm trying ot find the other website that had it for 49.99.   To bad they deleted all their old posts..

And to the other poster, I found out later that all I had to do to fix the white line problem was to fix the connector in more.  However, I thought the unit was beyond repair, so I started messing around with it in the hopes I could fix it automatically, and now I just get the blue screen of death no matter wich connector I try.

Thanks
