Title: PJ64 with Lararus!
Post by: Slice on August 30, 2002, 04:33:42 am
Hi all,

Tonight I'm gonna have a go at writing a wrapper for Lararus for the N64 emulator - PJ64. I've considered this alot (Putting a console EMU into my mame cab) and I'm going to go ahead (I'm also gonna use the original controllers - Thanks Howard)
Has anyone wrapped this already (OK asking is just being lazy, but it may save me some work) Are there any pit-falls I should look out for?

Finally , is my choice of N64 Emu the right one?

Project 64 1.4 or 1.5 beta 1 seems to run the most, with the least crashes.

1964 is suppose to be releasing a big update soon, that is suppose to run the most.  It is much hyped.  Keep on the lookout.

I run them both to get the best of both worlds.

p64 has command line options, although most people don't know this..... it will run fine with the generic command line wrapper.  I've found it to be pretty unstable though.... out of all of my n64 roms it will only run a handful.

Remember you don't have to write wrappers unless it's a very special case.  Even if it didn't have command line options, this emulator would have still ran perfectly with the generic windows app wrapper.  They are universal, so far I haven't found a need.
