Is the back door on the machine?

Are you getting AC power to the power supply?

To the monitor?

Does the monitor neck light up?

Do you hear ANYTHING out of the speakers (you can usually hear some sort of hum or something if the audio amp is powered).

Do you own a multimeter?

Does that machine have the kind of monitor that has no frame, if so, then that is a nice monitor, you might want to see if the monitor works before giving it away.

Yes the backdoor is on the machine. I don't know how to check if Ac power is going to the power supply or the monitor. Nothing lights up, not the monitor, lights , anything. I dont hear anything from the speakers. I don't own a multimeter. I don't think the monitor has a frame. I really appreciate any help you could give me.
Thanks

Ok, definitely an ATW cabinet, I recognize some of the internal components too.

Ok, your first step is to buy a multimeter from radio shack, just get the cheapest one.

Here is an article that will teach you how to use the multimeter.
