Title: Scrolling Shootemup recommendations?

I was a big fan of vertical and horizontal scrolling shootemups games such as 1942, twincobra, rtype etc..

Just wondering if anyone knows of more obscure mame games that i should take a look at in this genre?

Visit http://www.shmups.com/ (http://www.shmups.com/) fora lot of shoot em up reviews.  The forums are decent too.

I like Battle Bakraid.  Gigawing I and II are ok.  U.N. Squadron is fun.

There's a good one called Dragon Blaze, (or blade) i forget, but its pretty good.

And one of the great series from Psykio, is called

Gunbird 1 and 2
