Title: How to mount marquee with my setup?
Post by: skid_68 on August 24, 2004, 01:55:46 am
Could you guys tell me the best way, and the best things to use to mount my marquee with how I have my cabinet setup. This pic shows how I have the cab built right now. But I could change the way speaker board is cut on the marquee end.(see pic) Wich way should I cut the end to help with mounting the marquee. Also, is it better to have the light right behind the marquee, or would it be fine on the top cabinet board?

I would do the "or this" so it has a flat surface to rest on.

you would probably want to mount the light fixture to the "ceiling" of the cabinet

I was thinking that too. But how do I go about mounting the Marquee/holder and still be able to get it off to get to the light easily?

Top bracket should be unscrewable from the top.
Remove.
Slide marquee up and out.
Access granted to light fixture.

You can always make a wood frame to hold it in place and hinge it from the top, see my cab. It doesn't have to be fancy like mine it could be simple and painted black to match your cab if your cab is black that is.
