Post by: hunky_artist on August 23, 2004, 06:55:43 am
Hi guys... Im in the planning stages of my cab, and Im thinking about front ends

mmm... front ends....

*shakes his head* anyway..... I saw the GameLauncher one at an arcade exhibition in London a while back and thought it was great. nice and simple looking. Si i tried it recently

no matter what i do I cant get it to load games... ive gone through all the configuration files and everything, and i can get it to list the gamesl.. but it goes blank and back to the list when i select one... any ideas?  :)

Turn on the debug mode in the config file.  I forget what the setting is called, but it's in the documentation.  It'll show you exactly what's being run.

GameLauncher will go back to the menu if there is an error in the emulator (MAME, I presume).

This happened to me on some games, not all, when I had flaky drivers for my sound card.

Turn on the log file, and try turning off sound and see if it works without sound.

What OS?
