Title: Free iPod (as seen on CNN and Wired!)
Post by: planetjay on August 23, 2004, 04:43:42 am
If anyone hasn't seen it... You can get a free iPod for trying one of the offers on the site and then getting 5 freinds to join and try one offer. The cost is $0 if you do one of the AOL trials. Most of the rest are under $10. One thing to keep in mind, YOU WILL BE SPAMMED. Use an email address that you want to be spammed at. In fact it's a great way to train your spam filter! If you wanna get one you can click here (http://www.freeiPods.com/default.aspx?referer=8179309).

Also for the record DF says he knows several people that have already got theirs. Also he said that Canadians can't join, so it's probably US only.

This was already posted a few threads down. Take a look here (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=6;action=display;threadid=23199).
I already got my 5 referrals and am waiting for the iPods to be restocked (there seems to be a world shortage right now). Should take about a month!

There is actually another one for a free flat screen TV, they have a nice Sony Wega that I bet would work nicely in a Mame cabinet.  If you  sign up for the Infone offer, it is free, worth a chance I guess.  Infone is suppose to give you a $10 Amazon GC when you signup too.

PS. Sorry if this is too "Spammy" for the boards...  :)

They're in the process of setting up a free desktop PC site too (http://www.freedesktoppc.com) but it probably won't be ready for another week or so.

It says "No Credit card Required" for the AOL.  Then they ask you for a Credit card.  ::)

If you choose some options or something there are a few different payment methods...like charging it to yer phone bill.
