I am using an ATI All in Wonder 9600 card on a WinXP machine, and an analog Toshiba 27A34 tv. I just recieved my VGA-to-Component adapter from ATI.
I have installed everything, including the latest Catalyst drivers and Powerstrip.
My tv is having 2 problems.
1. It is showing a bad "ghosting" look, where I can't read or access anything on the screen. When this happens, it's as if there are multiple windows open on top of each other (but they have this "ghost" of transparent look). It does this about half the time.
2. When I do get the desktop and then Mamewah to look good (minus some flickering), the games in Mame do not show up. When a game is launched, the screen shows a lot of scattered lines in different directions. Nothing is even recognizable!
Please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. ???

I don't have any answers for you, but I thought I would ask you to post your procedures and results if you manage to fix this. I plan on using this same setup for my second cab and would like a reference in case mine does the same thing. You can refer to this (http://www.arcadecontrols.org/yabbse/index.php?board=4;action=display;threadid=4531) thread which has extensive information on what you're trying to do. Hope this helps.
