I just got off the phone with Todd at TNT, and he told me they are going bankrupt, and everything is being sold next week at the Cherry Hill, NJ Auction. Just one less place to get great games :(. Thanks Todd for all the great stuff, and I wish you well with whatever new endevours you find.
Patrick
P.S. Is anyone going on the 28th? Todd said he is bringing ~1,000 games and there will be some good deals.

Damn :(
-
I don't really believe this myself. There is not even room for that many games at the Cherry Hill Armory.
Are you shure you didn't ask him to ship you a free cabinet across the coutry. :-)
I have dealt with him and he is a nice guy. I really hope he was just kidding.

He can be a smart --I'm attempting to get by the auto-censor and should be beaten after I re-read the rules-- sometimes, but he did not let me off the hook. He said the phones are going to be cut off tomorrow. I might try to run out there and see in person if this is true, but I guess only time will tell.

that sucks. I've heard about TNT but never dealt with them. I wish I could trust my car to get to Cherry Hill, I'd take a ride to the auction to at least see the games. Damn my living in Union County :)
-
My friend and I are planning to goto the Cherry Hill, NJ auction...it just happens to be on my B-day so I'll have some cash too! :)
-
If there are really 1000 machines at the Cherry Hill auction then they will probably be giving them away and/or auctioning them in lots of 5-10 once it starts to get late.
-
I was just there today. I picked up 4 cab. A Gorf, a Chyanne, a Hang on and some cabaret machine of unknow origin.. I really do not think he is going BK. He has 1000's of game and by the looks of his shop, he is doing fine.

OK, so I just got off the phone with Todd, here's the skinny:
He gets a call from a guy asking for a video control panel. Todd knows
he'll make $10.00 on the sale so it's at the bottom of the list. The guy
won't give up for like 2 hours so Todd says he has no time because he's bankrupt and will be unloading his 2000+ piece inventory at the Cherry Hill auction. The guy finally gives up and posts the news. Now think about it - 2000 pieces for sale at a one day auction.... hmmmmm...
That's the magic of Todd, when he's kidding people take him serious. You gotta know the guy. TNT is fine. Buy his stuff, he'll treat ya right if
you're not a nut!

Hahahaha! That's funny as crud!!!

I called after I heard the news and todd said some idiot made up a lie about him not going bankrupt. Now he really is. Hope this doesnt affect the prices atthe auctions. :)

here is a reply fro Todd himself:
Hi Jay! Glad you like the cabinets....that rumor circulated pretty fast....here's the response I sent out today!
To clear this up, I was being hammered today by a cabinet collector---I love
having people take cabinets for free and sometimes buying a few parts here and
there, but today I was overloaded with important issues...so when I began to
get hammered by a "freebie" person with endless questions about a control panel
he wanted me to find, I tol him we had a week to go and to come to the Cherry
Hill auction and buy everything for $1 a game as we were going to sell
out....this was not meant to get out of hand and things seem to have spread
very fast...it was uttered in a moment of exasperation. We are not going
under (although the employee that stole the 80 games I paid $107,850.00 for and
who is still not arrested yet) brought us close to that (I had to refinance to
stay solvent), we are still going strong...as a matter of fact, we never had so
many sales and have cut back the airing of the infomercial to slow down the
sales...however, my accountant has told me we are making less money (profit)
every year since 1999, as every possible expense has gone up every year! (He
explains our "margins" continue to decrease and we offset them with the
donations of games) This year we have now donated 85 complete working
machines--with another 15 to go (we donate 100 machines a year), which helps
with our taxes!
He is a great guy and when i get more money i plan on buying some Pinball Machines and hopfully a Juke for my 45 collection. When people give stuff away, dont hound them, Just make a courtesy call or 2 to clarify what they have and to confirm your interest. I plan on going to the auction. i think he will do fine.

Yeah, I'll also state for the record that TNT is a great place. Seems to be the best source of low cost cabs in the area.

:-[ I guess the laugh is on me..... Sorry for the misinformation, but he sounded so serious this time..... Just for the record I was only on the phone for about 5 min (not 2 hrs).
Anyway...I am glad that Todd is alive and doing well because is a great source of cabs new and old.
