one way ticket to CA - $100
cost of u-haul truck back to MD - $3000 (per uhaul.com)
cost of taking off from work to move them - 2 weeks vac.
look on wife's face when I tell her ........... Priceless
Look on my face when served with divorce papers.......more priceless (to her)..... :o
-
I'm on it.
;D
Of course, It'll probably go to high for me...
-
Too high?! It's still at a penny! OH MAN Kremmit, what a deal!
-
Holy crap! They are all working too. Man that is a steal!!
-
it'll be interesting to see the price in 3 hours.
-
Wow an hour or so left and its only at $1.25. It's the whole 'local pickup only' that is making this sale sink. :(
I wish it could have worked out better but there's still an hour, some people may be holding out until the very end.
-
who cares man even if it went up to like 50+$ thats worth it, and it looks like it isnt going over 10$ heh
-
Kremmit, get back in there! 30 min left, and it's at $6.50.
I agree with whoever said it. "Local pickup" always kills auctions for machines. I have two that I picked up cheap because they were local pick up only. I just wait until the auction ends with 0 bids, email the guy and offer to come pick up next day at less $ than his original start bid was.
By the way, here's what I figure these cabs used to be:
- the 4WD game used to be "APB".
- Capcom Bowling is in a generic Dynamo "cut corner"
- That last game in photo #2 used to be Food Fight
- Collumns and WWF Superstar *might* have been Centipedes
-
182.50 with 12 left to go.
Cabs were in the description of the auction
Hang On: (complete working, needs to be re-assembled, monitor is out of game.
Also needs the brake and accelorator)
Columns: Needs monitor, game works Centipede style cab
Willow: Needs monitor work and cabinet work Defender style cab
Capcom Bowling: (3) cabinets need chassis in all 3 . (2) Dynamo style cabs
Road Riot: needs monitor, game works APB cab
Pyros: needs monitor work, game works Food Fight style cab
Wf wreslefest: needs a lot of work, but game boots up. Centipede style cab
-
222.50 for the lot
-

:'( Budget issues here in the real world forced me to top out at $200.. I logged back in just before the auction closed, and had to let 'em go.
EKW, glad you picked 'em up.
And Xphile, thanks for the heads up!

#!+$@ i really wish i had seen this one! i have been having difficulty getting my hands on a cab in Davis, which is just over an hour away. + my budget was just above that.......for only one GUTTER cab!
my point is, you really scored big time with this one. way to go!!! & if you decide to part with any of them, feel free to contact me. i am not far off, currently in Davis. i know you wouldn't have bought the lot if you weren't interested in them, but not everyone is keen on games like Bowling either. if there is one you don't particularly enjoy and i would just be using it for the cab, perhaps we could work something out.
-
$200 for a gutter cab? Shucks, for $200 I'll haul one down to Davis. ;D

well, that's my budget for a cab that serves my purposes, is in perfect condition (graphics not an issue cuz they would come right off), located reasonably close (cant afford shipping), and really doesn't repairs done at all. this is actually my absolute max price, as above it would be more expensive then buying some MDF, screws, casters, hinges, and handles + tool rental for the day. it would also spare me the amount of time, which i actually don't have, for building it, allowing for more time to study. i have had some deals fall through, simply because the other party flaked. i am going to CGE today and they are having a swap meet, so maybe i'll strike gold too! but i doubt it.

Hi,
I have a bunch of cabs here. Let me know if you want to check some out. Always trying to make space for more :) .
Thanks,
Erick

Well, none of mine are in "perfect" condition, although the Crystal Castles isn't bad. The wood is in good shape, and everything is working. The down side is that it's been converted to "Sky Soldiers" :(. The Crystal Castles sideart is painted over - though it may be recoverable with 3m Safest Stripper, you can see it's still under the paint. The control panel is the original, but the CC overlay has been replaced and the trackball is gone, now it's got two sticks w/ 2 buttons each.
If you're interested, and you don't get lucky at CGE, message me and I'll send you some photos.
