Does any one know why this is happening.  I also get this using mame32.   NBA Hangtime is very low and every noise is heard twice like it gets echoed or something.  I find that the NBA Jams also have some wierd sound problems, the commentator calls out names at different stages through the game which aren't even playing.  Any ideas.  It's very annoying as they are games I like to play.

Cheers

Why don't you adjust the VOLUME....Push "F2" to go to the config and sellect the volume adjust for MORTAL KOMBAT etc.... Other games don't have a built in volume adjust but MK series does..

I know this sounds a bit simple, but... I am running Win98SE and I noticed the same "low volume" problem you are all talking about.  All I did was Adjust the windows volume (the speaker in the system tray) to max.  I'm using DOS mame w/ArcadeOS, but this worked for me.

NBA Hangtime has its own internal volume control.  Go into Service Mode, find the volume and crank it up!

Thanks for the help,  will try it later.  Is there anyway to know which games have the internal volume control or is it just a matter of getting into the service section and see if it's there if the sound is low.

Any ideas on the doubled sound in Hangtime or the commentator calling out the wrong things in Jam.  Both games run smoothly without scanlines or frameskip (53/53)??

Cheers
