Howdee all-
I'm trying to move my Mac based cabinet to a Dell Optiplex GX1 PIII 500with on board ATI 3D Rage PRO AGP x2 runing XP pro. I fiddled with all sorts of video options in the DOS MAME 56 and all I get on screen is some funky lines. I'm guessing I need to find some sort of DOS driver but am not sure where to start. I poked around advancemame but was even more lost.
Any ideas?

I'm confused. You mean command line MAME, not DOS MAME right?

Hello-
I'm the confused one ;) . Maybe thats my problem.
I want to run Mamewah which I understood has to use the DOS version of MAME. I can get various flavors of Windows MAME to run from the command line inside XP with only some sound issues I have not tried to deal with. I'm trying to get the "mame056b_dos_i686.zip" download to work. Am I being a big dork and trying to get a pure DOS version to run inside Windows? Remember, I'm a Mac guy.
Take care

mamewah runs with other versions of mame, not just the dos version. If you were to get the "mame056b_i686.zip" version--this is the windows command line version and can be run right from xp. Are you using an arcade monitor or a pc monitor?

I think you'll only want the _i686 if you're running a Pentium Pro.
