Have a look at http://www.oscarcontrols.com/index_spinner.htm
for the knobs available from Oscar. I've got the skirted type :)

Try audio supply and electronics stores. Radio Shack has a few kinds. Most stereo knobs have markings on them, but if they're only printed on the surface, you can usually remove them with a pencil eraser. Just depends what look you want.
Does Fultra still make his Tempest repro knobs?

If you're into fine whiskey, a friend had a bottle of Jack Daniels' Single Barrel Tennesee Whiskey from which I nabbed the cork/cap for because it looked like an ideal spinner knob... I haven't used it yet, but I plan to. It's very similar in shape and size to a Discs of Tron spinner.
Anyway, there are two ways you could look at it. It's either outrageously expensive, or free. I prefer to call it free - heck, I didn't pay for it.

Here is a nice Spinner for FREE unless you buy it and drink it.
http://www.nesquik.com/
I have a couple of this and thinking about making a spinner out of it. Diameter of it I think its about 2.5" almost 3" like the Arkanoid Spinner. The price was right and it has a bunny logo on top of it.
Anyone come up with a built one, please post your finish product and a small write up :)
