I just bought a empty Macho Mouse cab off ebay. In another life it was a Galaxian. I would like to restore it to either a Galaxian if the art is OK underneath or a Pac-man. There are two large Macho Mouse stikers on the side. Should I just peel 'em off with no concern or should I remove them carefully in case some one might be interested in them? I had never even heard of the game when I bought it.

Wow, I've never heard of Macho Mouse. KLOV needs photos of the Marquee and control panel and side-art. I hope you will do your duty in regards to that. ;-) (Actually, if you just post those pics here, I can submit them).
As for removing the side-art, do a search. It's been covered a couple times, and the bottom line is it's too difficult to remove in one piece, or without warping/tearing, etc...

Yeah I'm gonna send pictures to KLOV.com. I dont really care for the stickers, I just didnt want to ruin something that maybe was important. I looked for it MAME but I couldnt find it. I know it has been MAMED from mame.net list. Maybe I accidently deleted it when I got rid of those stupid mahjong games.

Ah...so your the one who out bid me on that. It's just as well, I wasn't sure if I wanted to drive all the way to Arlington even though it was pretty cheap.
-
Sorry I didnt know it was a fellow BYOACer. :-\ We need to have a registry or something to prevent this kind of thing. Eyedoc bought the other game the guy had up for auction. I had almost considered bidding on that one too. The guy also had a Dragons Lair that he is going to fix up. He even has the laser disks! I wish I could get my hands on that! ;D

no problem, I really didn't need it, but would have had no problem picking it up for cheap.

If that thing came with "untested" boards, then they work, I know the former owner of that cabinet.

And if it's in MAME, you probably need to send the marquee pics to Eldio and the control panel pics to Mr. Do for the art packs.

Mame says a couple of the roms have no good dumps known so you may wish to contact one of the dumpers to see if yours can be dumped.

How do I contact them?

I doubt very seriously if you can get that art off without ripping it to pieces.

I was afraid you'd ask.
Eldio is at Eldio"at"uk2"dot"net
and Mr. Do! is at mrdo_emu"at"hotmail"dot"com
But I just got Mr. Do!'s E-mail from the mame.net forum and I just vaguely remember that he was doing the panel packs. If I'm wrong, Smitdogg from mametesters started them, but I don't think he's the "go to" guy anymore.

perhaps one of our art gurus here would like high quality pics of that art to possibly vector it? just a thought

At one point in my life I did that kind fo thing for a living. I don't have time now, but do take some very high res pics so I or someone else can do it.
