Title: Wanted: Atari Start/Cone Buttons
Post by: maxstang on August 16, 2004, 10:48:25 am
Yes, it's true I also want some cone buttons for my Cab.  I'm interested in both the Black unlit and the lit buttons, both with the black cones.  Thanks to all responding.  -Malcolm

somebody out there physically made home-made replicas of these at one point...

dunno where?  but I've seen them around someplace... ?

actually, found it... GameCab did it...

seems the idea kind of disappeared, but GameCab is the gut to talk to apparently

I've got a few lighted buttons, and a handful of 3 types of cones.. black, aluminum and short black (like on Zenophobe joysticks)  What are you offering?

Thanks for the response.  Interested in the taller black cones with either the lit or unlit buttons.  I need  four.  Don't think I have anything you'd want in trade other than cash.  Thanks -Malcolm

Just wanted to mention to all of you who like the Atari cone buttons, that the older aluminum style is just as cool.

I have some and at first I thought, they were a bit dull looking, but last night I used a very low grit sandpaper on them, followed by some polishing compound (I used stuff made for polishing aluminimum car rims), and buffed it with a Dremel (with polishing bit). WOW, these babies are now so shiny and reflective! Way cooler than plain black plastic.
