Hey,
This is my first post, but I've been a long time lurker. I built a simple two player control panel but I've gotten addicted as of late and I am trying to get everything I need to build my ultimate control panel. I want to be able to play as many of my old favorites as I possibly can.
I'm looking to buy Druin's Rotary Joystick Interface. Does anyone have one or a similar product for sale.
Anyone have one they are no longer using? Let me know as I would love to take it off your hands.
I'm also looking for Happ Rotary Joysticks if anyone has them.
Thanks,
Joe

what keyboard encoder do you have?
You might consider going with analog+ mame and direct wire them.
but I've talked about it before (search around)... Basically a better solution.. but there is a bug in ikari warriors (but GREAT in timesoldiers and others)... it requires 12 extra connections per joystick (so 12+4+#buttons per player).

Lil Wolf,
I've read allot of your old posts regarding the rotary joysticks. They were very informative and had great detail.
I have a IPAC2 so I don't have enough inputs to directly wire them. I mainly want it for Ikari Warriors and Guerilla War so a bug would kill me. Analog + is a little more work then I want. But, thanks for your input.
I may just have to go with the Optical Rotary Joysticks since it looks like I'll have no luck getting a Druin Rotary Interface. But, I'm also getting a trackball so I don't know if Optical Rotary Joysticks are the best idea since I'm afriad the trackball might move during gameplay and screw me up.
Thanks

go to Ultimarcs site... under the opti-pac... this is the same concern I've always had, but (USB or Serial) can support 2 trackballs and 4 spinners/rotary joysticks...
I don't think you'll have a problem... :) optical joysticks should be the easiest.

I doubt you'll find a used one like you would an i-pac or key wiz. The few people who buy Druins interfaces are usually rotary joy game fanatics (like me) ;D and don't want to get rid of them. They're not terribly expensive new. IMO they're worth every penny. Good luck with your search. :)
