Title: How difficult to change a two player control panel to four player?
Post by: arcadecab on August 14, 2004, 10:39:33 pm
I have been looking at a Virtua Tennis arcade cabinet locally as I really like the idea of having a Naomi drive for non-mame applications.  However, it is just a two player cabinet with not much room for additional controls/buttons.  How difficult is it to expand the control panel or simply replace it with a home built one or a Quad slikstik control panel?  Is it difficult?  Would it still look professional?  Not much of a carpenter, so just wondering if such a cabinet would likely be expanded without much difficulty or making the cabinet look "bad".  Would Saint's project arcade also help in the upgrading of a control panel to 4-player?
Thanks.

If you want a 4-player machine then buy a 4 player machine. I once saw a Virtua cab with a slikstick bolted onto it, looked terrible, terrible, terrible. Belonged to someone here, sorry, but it looked bad.
