Hello Fellow Mamer's. 8)
I have been running into a few problem's today with mame ( using MameWAH as a front end loader ) and running with the ArcadeVGA card and a WG-D9200 27in monitor.
Then noticed that when i installed The Arcade VGA Resolution Tool and let it creat all the ini files for mame, i then tried some games to see what they all look's like.
First i thought i would fire up MK and see how it looks to past memory's. ;)
When it started to load MK, i noticed that the screen was only displaying in a size of a 14 inch monitor :( ( looks nice but want to use the 27 inch please ) I then also noticed in the game intro where the players scroll on the left and right hand side that it isnt smooth and there is a tear line to be seen running from bottom to top of screen!
( Now i though that with the WG-D9200 and ArcadeVGA card that i would not have any problems with games that run natively ) I guess i could be wrong, But it must be mame's ini file setting's!
So i tried another game - 1942
This game looks to display on the screen size as if with was on a hand held gameboy ( approx 6 inch x 4 inches ) then displays and out of range ! again must be a setting problem in mame's ini somewhere.....
So i thought i cannot be the only one here with these same setup , and have had also the same problems ...
So let's try and make a how to setup guide for the setting's in mame's ini or some game's ini file's that are for the ArcadeVGA card and WG-9200 below to try and help all .....
;D

i know this may be a hard thing to do for some people and others its really easy. goto advancemame. i had the same setup avga and d9200 and i wasent satisfied with it until i used advance mame. you may have to use the advcfg and advv programs to get all your resolutions in but brotha its worth it by a long shot. i wouldnt have gona any other route. if you have question feel free to ask. avga tool was good and in my opinion is needed if you dont use advmame but advmame is very very good. IMO

Try disabling Hardware Stretch, Disable Scanlines, and run at the games native resolution.

Thanks for the tip GMZombie , but never looked at advancemame before, so not sure if i want to get used to it all over again...
StephenH : I looked at my mame.ini file and noticed that i do not have hardware activated , nore the scanlines.
But geesh the mk's look weard running so small on such a large screen. :(
