Did he specifically say he wouldn't because of the content, or is there some other reason?
Reason I ask is that graphic designers do work every day using copyrighted materials legitimately, and I can't imagine that they would have to "prove" they have a right to use the media in question. What are we supposed to do, carry a "license" to authorize print shops as to what they can or can't print??
Might want try again at another location. Just say you were hired to design it.

That's why I stopped going to Kinko's. As a designer & illustrator, I print TONS of stuff. Once I went to kinko's to print an illustration that I had created with my own copyright... they wouldn't let me print my own work.
It's very arbitrary. Take it to another Kinko's, and they might do it.
OR, you can do like a lot of people and have classicarcadegraphics.com or mamemarquees.com. They've both had some good feedback for their quality & customer service. Lately I think I've heard a lot of good words for mamemarquees.com

I'd just go back during a different shift ::shrug::

You might check these guys out. Heard a lot of good things about them.

I used to manage a quick print shop. Technically, you aren't supposed to copy anything that has a copyright on it, unless the customer is a) the copyright holder, or b) has a signed release from the copyright holder. That said, we didn't worry about it if it looked like it was for personal use. Order a large # of copies, like you would do if you were trying to sell 'em, and we'd tell you to take a hike. (actually, we sent 'em to Kinkos, and told 'em to use the self serve machines ;) )

Anakin, did you create the lightning effects yourself or are they something you DL'd?
