If I recall correctly when we bought this computer I read something about it having USB2 ports, however... on the front of the computer, on the sticker that displays the system specs (no I haven't removed it yet) says "6 USB ports 4 on the back 2 on the front"
Attached is a screenshot of my hardware information pertaining to USB. It does say something about USB2 at the bottom of the list, but I wasn't sure if that means I have USB2 or just my computer can use USB2 devices at USB1 speeds...

There is no screen shot
some computers have either a usb2 sticker on the back plane

If your running XP, if you plug a USB 2.0 device into a USB 1.0 plug, a dialog will usually pop up warning you that you will not get ideal performance for the device.

If you go into the device manager (assuming your using windows) you can check the items in the Universal Serial Bus Controllers group. At least on my PC it mentions USB 2.0 for some devices (root hub and host controller). IIRC there also should be the word "enhanced" on a host controller. I have one of the host controllers that's "enhanced" (and USB 2.0).

Check the specs. on the motherboard, It should be listed there or at the motherboards manufacturers site.
