Quick question....
How is the top of your cabinet layed out? THe top where the speakers typically sit. Is it flat or is it angled down?
Just trying to see what most people like better? I am torn.. Torn like an old sweater.

Angled. Definately angled.
-
Yup, the one on the right.
-
I agree: angled.
-
Yup, mine is the same
-
Yeah, no question.
Actually, I've never even seen one like the example on the left.
-
Angled, but not like on the right. More like in between the two... and going farther back than in your diagram.
-
Angled is more common, BUT there definately where a handful of classic's out there who had the flat design.
-
Mine actually has a 3rd piece to it, like the picture below.
I've got the speakers mounted into that 3rd piece.

I unfortunatly don't have enough room above the monitor for speakers so they're going to be on either side of the monitor.
I have yet to figgure out exactly how I'm going to get holes in the glass for the sound to come through. But I don't work verry fast on my projects, so it'll probably be a while before I get to that part...

I have some big infinity IL50's I am putting on the side of my cab. I plan on hooking up components to the t.v. so it can act as a entertainment center as well. ;) So no need for the speakers for me. but the one that is on my cab is actually mounted below the coin door.

Flat. No angled...Angled!

Maybe you should use the SoundBug!
