I don't get it???

I don't get it???
You don't get it at all ?
Ok I will try to explain, you parry by hitting forward once and generally its hard to parry more then 1 hit.Now this jap dude literally parried a whole super then came back hardcore..thats like a moment in history but like I said before, lot of you may not get it.
-
Man... why don't we have anything like that here. Looked like a fun place to be. The only excitement we get around here is the change in the weather.
-
With Snaake's explanation it makes a lot more sense, but without it the end of the video sums it up. "...you had to be there"
Had to be emabrassing for the poor fool playing Chun-Li, though. He was getting stomped, and then to have somebody slap aside your super attack so contemptuously in front of that many people...
-
what game was that capcom vs snk 2?
-
They actually posted a link to this video on slashdot's game page. They are playing Street Fighter 3 Third Strike.

Uh, doesn't blocking just involve holding the back, ala SF2? It doesn't seem that amazing, since he gave the guy like, 10 seconds to do the super move. I can hold back on a joystick.... it isn't too hard...

When you block by holding back, you still take some damage (although much less). By parrying you take no damage at all. Since he had very little life left, the parrying was crucial.

Important note when watching something you don't understand. When the large group of people, who are quite knowledgeable about the subject, stand up and start screaming, cheering and applauding, you've just witnessed something special. It's like watching professional chess, someone will move a piece, and everyone else in the room, suddently grasping what he's done, gasp in astonishment. But to me it just looks like he's moved the horsey-guy over to the side a bit. (A slight exaggeration, since I do know the names of the pieces in chess, but you get my point).

Holy crap! That guy is.... :o :o DIZAM!!!
For those that don't get it, to do a counter in that game, you have to press forward EXACTLY when you're about to get hit. If you screw up the parry, you take full damage. Blocking is easier, but you soak up some damage from the attack.

That's just it, he wasn't blocking at all. If he had blocked, he would have died. Basically, he was hitting forward repeatedly to counter every hit of Chun-Li's super attack with perfect timing.
Wow, I'm still in awe. Watch the mini-window of the player on the right when he gets owned at the end. You gotta feel bad, but you gotta repsect the guy playing Ken for knowing the game that well.
-
that chun li getting her --I'm attempting to get by the auto-censor and should be beaten after I re-read the rules-- kicked like that in open public....
that's sad.... really sad....
with Ken has no energy... I would also think that pull out a super will definitely kill him.... well... what do I know... haaa haaa haaa....
** but I'm no good at SF games at all... **

Oh hi SNAAKE, Great to see you're back. By the way, I voted against you. Sorry :-[

And top of that, the guy playing Chun-Li is like America's best player around(he lives in NY,I see him all the time at my local arcade) but this jap dude sure got him this time..BADLY :o

He had no energy left so if he blocked ANYTHING at all then he would have lost.Parrying is really hard and takes years of practice, you may get away with parrying 2-3 hits(even that is hard but I can personally handle) but parrying a level 3 super was just beyond anyone's imagination :D

Man I would love to have the 2D disk for 2003 but $35.00 is alittle to steap to watch other people play.
-
i been lookin around for a torrent of it but it seems too obscure for anyone to have ripped it
-
A torrent would be cool but how big would an 8 hour with good quality torrent be. A better question how long would it take to download.
-
I know nothing about that game but that was very cool :o

not that long really, i have the entire first 5 seasons of star trek TNG downloaded... just think about that lol
-
Thats nothing.
you HAVE to go for the full Thundercats collection!
-
that is good stuff right there....had to see it again...
-
I try and stay away from full season stuff. It not worth the time to convert to SVCD and burn to a CD. I just go buy things like that.
