Hey
I have almost finished the cabinet but I am concerned about Heat. I have two shelfs inside the cabinet. I have apc with case inside. and an xbox.. there is some wood to for shelving etc..... the unit is completely sealed and i am concerned about heat. I dont think I will play for more than 3 hours at a time. I had the system on for about 1.5 hours today no problems during play. I took the back off and felt the xbox it wasnt too warm. the pc was alittle. there is some heat inside it Any suggestions? i really would hate to have to hack apart my cabinet its almost finished.
there is an air vent on the top.. a coind door that opens and two front door type things.. i am just a little nervous.
thx

I've removed the back of my mame cabinet. So there is no issue with heat.
Adding a exhaust fan may work, but that'll be noisey.
Edit: Not sure if you've done this already, but I assume the CPU case side is removed?
Besides, as long as your not overclocking the stuff you have inside, you should have a hear problem.

if you have an air vent on the top, just make sure there is a similar size opening down low. since both machines are fully contained, youd probably be fine just letting convection do the job. saves on extra noisy, power-consuming fans...
to test just pop a thermometer in there (place it near the vent at the top) and see how much the temp rises in an hour. then two hours etc. if each hour it gets noticeably warmer then maybe you need to do something. my machine for example seems to stabilise after about two hours. and ive successfully left it on continuously for 7 days straight to really test it out.

Hey
Thanks for the replies guys. There is a vent in the top and there is hole in the back too. Also i have 2 small doors on the front not designed for cooling but would help I think. I do have the PC in the case.. I supose I could remove the sides that would help?
Like I said I havent noticed it getting too hot just wanted to be safe.
thx
