According to Rick at the auction company they have moved it to October 10th instead of October 30th. As much as I love the auction I wish they were not moving it a month earlier (less time to sock away cash) I could have another $300 in pocket. Either way I am sure that I will bring home something worth while. I would really like a Pole Position or Turbo or even my holy grail PowerDrift. And with luck I will bring home a galaga like I have been meaning to do for a few years now. Last year they were all wrecks other than the new ones which I don't want. In the past I have ended up done and leaving by around 7:00 ish. This year I plan to stay till just about the end and see what deals I can pick up outside of my hit list. Maybe I will get lucky and be one of the guys who scores a big cab with a 25in. for $200.
The deisel flatbed is all lined up and I am ready to go, this even it bigger than Xmas in our family.
So, who else is going this year?

I might, but agian I have no truck. Would you be willing to share a ride if I came and helped you load/unload your stuff? I live in Odenton, about 10 min S of Baltimore, but I could meet there if it is a major problem.
-
That would be fine by me, I already have a group of four going and there is room on the truck for pleanty more games.

Turbo is one of the bang for the buck games around. They rarely go over $200, have one of the best monitors around, are much more reliable than pole position and they often work even when they do have boardset problems. Yeah, I would get one if there is one there.

I saw one outfitted with real automotive guages in place of the fake ones and it looked real nice. There were two powerdrifts last year, one was a sit down that was just too big (in hindsight I should have bid on it and made it fit) and a woodgrain beater that had board and monitor problems. I sure would like to find a clean one. The one I really regret not jumping on was that super clean star wars that went for a few hundred less than I though it would. I didn't really pay attention or get into the bidding because I was sure it would go well over a grand. But hey, I did take home the mint space invaders with the manual, keys and reciept. I just hope this year is as large as last year.

Which auction company is this out of curiosity? Also what time does it open? For once, since its on sunday, i'll actually be able to go to one.

Sweet, please shoot me your email. Mine is at the bottom, take out the bigdog. Anyway, this would be very cool. Where are you coming from? PS, I'll be out of town for about 8 days, so don't get pissed if I don't reply to your email until I get back, heading up to Chicago for a week.

Oooh, I'll probably go...depends tho. I'm going to the one in New Jersey on August 28th...so I maybe broke after that! ;)

Question to all who attended. I always ignored the prices that the Jukeboxes auctioned for. Does anyone recall what the broken 45rpm ones were selling for? I swear I recall some going for around $100~$200. I plan to snag one and install an MP# player in it.
Xtra, shot you an email.

Last auction I went to there were jukeboxes that no one was even willing to pay $5 for. My friend got one for $30 or $40 (he had picked it out in advance).
-
I sure hope I score that well ;D A dent that small would not impact the arcade fundage at all.

::) Just posted on their website, and per phone call confirmed and promised to be set in stone, October 30th, not the 10th anymore.

I'm still interested, but I just found out I have to move to Texas soon so I can't buy a darn thing. I can give a hand moving your stuff if you like.
