Is there a way to run MameWah without having to install it onto the computer? I am going to be running my CP off a friends computer every now and then and I want to be able to just copy the disks contents into a temporary directory and then delete it when I'm finished. If I'm not mistaken MameWah writes to the system registry, meaning that if I just copy the MameWah directory's files onto a disk it won't work when I load it onto a computer that doesn't have it installed. Is there a way around this?
One other thing (instead of starting another thread), I seem to recall an NES emulator that already had the buttons set to the default MAME. With the one I use right now when I press Alt it brings down its menu. I also need a SNES one.

check http://www.screenshotarchive.com (http://www.screenshotarchive.com) for emulators that use MAME keys.
I'm not sure about the Mamewah installation though, sorry.

Actually MAMEWAH doesn't write to the registry (personally I don't like using the registry).
You don't need to install MW...you can use WinZip or similar to open the mamewah.cab file, and extract mamewah.exe to whereever you want. You'll also need to extract paintx.dll to your \windows\system32 folder, and register it:
Start > Run > regsvr32 paintx.dll

Oh, OK then. I copied the following files and will burn them to disk:
FILES
LAYOUTS
DEBUG.LOG
MAMEWAH Layout Designer.exe
MAMEWAH.exe
ST6UNST.LOG
paintx.dll
Will MameWah run off of the above when I put it on another computer?
pointdablame, thanks, that was the page I was looking for.

Don't bother with the .log files, but yes that should work.
Remember what I said about paintx.dll tho...
