Subway began receiving customer complaints about the tray liner, which features a heading that asks, "Why are Americans so fat?" U.S. House of Representatives Republican leader Tom DeLay of Texas had already criticized the promotion.

"I guess for some companies corporate patriotism is as flexible as Jared's waistline," DeLay said in a statement last week.


To little to late, besides Quiznos, Panera, and Potbelly make better sandwiches anyway.

The funny thing is the "lazy, fat Americans" they're making fun of are the same Americans that agree with the Germany and France.
