Title: Started my panel, need advice
Post by: vader on August 04, 2004, 10:33:06 am
My panel is the exact  layout and the exact parts used in the Project Arcade guide.  The game I am mainly building this for is SF2, although I'm sure my interest will expand to other games.  What is the preferred layout in setting up the buttons.  From what I gather, most people are using the following

       4 5 6
       1 2 3
      7

I can always remap just the SF2 games, aren't that many of em......I guess I should be asking what is the best way to rewire so most games won't have to be remapped.....Will be using the IPAC 4

Thanks

TIm

The ebst thing to do, IMHO, is to get no name mame (or make your own mame with my hacks) then use ctrlr files.  I have a ctrlr hack that you can specify a button6.ini to remap for all 6 button games.

though the ctrlr files are pretty powerful as is.  you should be able to do most of what you want with them.  My hacks just make it easier for cabinet owners.
