I'm at the point where I'm putting th CPO on my CP, and it is just simply NOT sticking. I've had around 100 pounds of even level weight on it for about 4 hours hoping it would stick, and just got home, took the weight off, and while I haven't tried it, I know for a fact I could pull this thing off with one hand, maybe even just 2 fingers.
Any ideas/thoughts? It's kinda humid out today, should I just leave the weight on overnight? I REALLY don't think that's the problem, but I'll try it anyways. I cut out one button hole (pie cut) and it immediately bubbled up around the cut, no adhesion at all. I can feel the adhesive on the edges that aren't on the CP, and while they ARE sticky, it's not exactly what I was hoping for, feels more like scoth or masking tape if that.

If it's not on there good by tomorrow morning, I'm gonna go buy some adhesive at home depot and get it on there PERMANENTLY. Any suggestions on what to buy? It's going to be stuck to primed and single-coat painted MDF.

3m spray glue.
It looks like a spray paint can. Just make sure you dont over do it or it wont ever dry.
-
Yep. I used ther 3m Spary Glue and the thing wont move. Besure you properly position the CP.. as you won't be able to lift/move the CP once you've positioned it.

OK, any suggestions on how to use this besides don't spray too much?
I've done great on the entire rest of the cab, but destroying my CP and CPO in one fell swoop because I didn't know how to use spray adhesive frankly scares the crap out of me.

Just give it a light coat... What I mean by dont over do it is your need to realize that this is glue. and if you have a spot where you just glob it on its going to act just like glue in a bottle if you globbed it on. Just give it a light coat, get the edges and your good to go.. Its not hard to use.

Just bought some (I'm impatient, and this is the part I've been looking forward to) I got the 3m Spray Adhesive 45. They had 4 levels of adhesive, I bought the lowest (and MUCH cheaperest) Hopgint hat's ok?

Let us know how it goes. I have a CPO coming form mamemarquees and I guess I'll probably have to do the same thing...

Well, I THINK My problem might have been one of the following (if it helps ya any)
Latex paint - I think I'd have been better off just priming (or not even priming) the MDF
Soap/Water mixture - I dunno, without it, there's NO WAY I would have gotten this thing centered and lined up right, must have taken 20-30 tries.
Time - I got the CPO about a month ago, and just applied it today, I stored it well, but it still could have affected it.
It's coming out ok, the spray adhesive worked great, but it's still bubbling up some around the buttons when I install them. I wish I'd have been able to find 5/8" MDF and used plexi.....

I am going from my bad memory here, but I thought that I read on mamemarquees.com that you shouldn't use the 'wet' method with his products.
FWIW

I'm using an overlay from mamemarquees.com with 5/8" MDF and 1/8" Plexiglass.
The overlay seems to stick very good even without the plexiglass. When I cut my holes (without the plexiglass on it) I didn't have anything bubbleup at all...
Maybe you somehow got a defective sheet? It doesn't sound likely, but I guess it's possible...
