Title: How to play racing games in mame???

I once tried playing a racing game in mame and it said something like "center your steering wheel" and i couldnt get past that screen, and i dont even have a steering wheel, how do you play these games?

MAME lets you use your mouse.

We (arcade cabinet builders) use a "spinner".

That was probably the hardware setup for the game itself.  Hard Drivin' and some others (Crusin') do this...

So, the steering wheel is whatever you have mapped to the steering wheel inputs in MAME.  Same goes for pedals etc...
