Title: Cleaning surface after painting/sanding
Post by: Sylentwulf on August 02, 2004, 01:33:46 pm
OK, before priming, and after sanding in between coats, how do I clean the surface? Shopvac, towel? Some is MDF so I don't want to wipe with any kind of liquid...
Thanx!

Tackcloth might work.  It's a sticky (but not moist) rag used just for this sort of thing.  It should be easy to find.

Yup I used a few tackcloths and it worked like a charm.  I was able to find it with the painting supplies at my local ACE hardware.  Very sticky and works great

Compressed air works well.  If you are using a sprayer, you can disconnect the hose from the gun and blast the surface with air.
