Title: Painting/priming the inside
Post by: Sylentwulf on July 30, 2004, 02:54:02 pm
I'm using mostly plywood, so I'm not that concerned, but my CP is MDF. We all know how MDF warps, should I at least prime all sides of the control panel (inside, side, and outside?)

Has anyone had any MDF control panels warp after a year or 2 of use?

I'd suggest doing it anyway, that's what I did.  Better safe then sorry!

Can't speak for a cab just yet, but I have some built ins around the house out of MDF and I wish I had painted the inside because the shelves are sagging a bit.  The humidity in Florida is pretty extreme though.

It's been 65%+ Humidity in NH for about 3 weeks now. I shal prime every side of every angle of this CP.
