I recently purchased a partially-MAMEd Pacman cocktail from a friend of mine. I'm ordering new control panels and a bezel shortly. While looking over the base of the machine to see if it had leg levelers I came across the following wood damage on both the front corners (see below). I'm no woodworker so I'm not sure if I should be concerned that it's wood rot or a structural concern.
How would you fix it? Putty/filler and paint? Is it a structural concern? Doesn't seem to be very deep. As always, thanks for the help.

Overall though, it's in pretty good shape. You should have seen it: top of an abandoned stack of cocktails in the back of a musty warehouse with pigeon crap all over it. It really shined up pretty well:

I wouldn't worry about it. That part looks like part of a separate little base at the bottom. I could go in the other room and flip mine over and look, but I have paint stripper on my clothes and don't want to get it on the cocktail.

Thanks Paigeoliver! I'll just fill it and paint it then without worry.

It looks like it's beat up, not rot. See the dent in the coner of the min part. I bet someone hit a door edge or truck bed or something.
not a big deal. Wood putty, sand, paint. That should fix it up.

Where is there a musty warehouse with a stack of abandoned coctails?
Probably 900 miles from me :'(

You can also go to lowes or home depot and get a laminate sheet to iron over the top of it.
But Just filling it and painting it is okay. It's lible to chip if it's too deep.
Most of those cocktails are like that.
Didn't anybody take shop in school?
