Title: Fatal Error in Mamewah
Post by: Evilpenguin on July 28, 2004, 02:13:31 pm
I was using mamewah setup to adjust some layouts.  Now everytime I go into mamewah it crashes and says runtime error 380.  Has anyone ever gotten this error or know how to fix it?  I have tried re-installing mamewah but it still gives me the error.

Sounds like an invalid value in the layout file to me...try temporarily using a different layout (ie a standard one).

Post back what happens...

Gotta love the search feature...

I have been getting the 'run-time error 380' message, as well.

The default layout works fine as does "Cabinet Layout (640x480)" by SteveH from screenshotarchive.com.

However, "Cabinet Layout with Help (both 640x480 & 800x600)" from the same site give the 380 error message when attempting to launch Mamewah.

The layouts are visible through the Mamewah setup program, but they will not run.

Any ideas Min?

Try opening the layout in the Layour Designer, and re-saving.

It sounds like the layout uses a font you don't have...if the above does not work, you might have to scan through the .LAY file (in notepad or whatever) and see if you spot any unusual font names.
