I'm trying to think of the name of a futuristic/sci-fi movie that was made a few years ago, it's driving me nuts.
The main character is a young business type guy that pretends to be perfect because everyone else that gets ahead are genetically engineered to be perfect.

gATTACA?
-
Paycheck? (Ben affleck)
Whos in it?
-
Gattica for sure.
Had Uma Therman in it. She was his girlfriend.
The real "prefect" guy burned himself up in an incenarator at the end and dude flew to saturn.
-
It might be Paycheck, but I thought the movie had a different main actor. I'll rent both of those movies though.
-
Its not paycheck.
Gattaca
He was an astronaut.
-
yes, I think its Gattaca....
I rented it by accident... (they give me the wrong tape...)
but it turns out its a pretty good movie....
that guy's parent decided to create a kid "the natural way"...
and genetically... (according to the technology... he's high risk for sickness and stuffs and is considered lowered grade human...)
he took someone else's identity... (that guy is like paralysed by an accident....)
he finally became an astronaut....
pretty good movie....

Okay, I just watched trailers from both movies. The one I was looking for was Gattaca. Thanks guys!

Im sick of being yelled at!!! (takes out an AT-420) MWAHAHAHAHA!
-
Yes, definitely Gattaca. Cool film.
The scary thing is that a lot of the things in this film will almost certainly happen. Insurance companies are already lobbying for the right to test people for genetic diseases. How long will it be before employers do the same?
-
Gattaca is an excellent film. Both stylish and watchable, AND you get the sadly all too real message of where our society is headed.
I'll have to watch it again.

Grasshopper,
They already are testing in Germany for genetic diseases, and refusing employment.
In the UK if they find out you have a genetic disease, like Huntington's disease, they can refuse employment also.
