Title: stick plexi to wood?

what is the best way to stick plexi to MDF?

will epoxy glue react with the plexi?

or just hot glue?

I dunno about the epoxy, but you could always test on a scrap piece.  I find hot glue never stays attached unless there's no stress on the pieces you're glueing.  I usually see plexi attached by pre-drilling holes, then screwing it on.  Or, you could go with metal clamps like the ones that hold the glass on top of a coctail machine.

I just got done making a control panel.  In order to make the dust washers mount in the correct space, I routed out a hole the size of a piece of plexi that I had cut to size, and used polyurethane glue (SPARINGLY!!!!) to hold it in.  You have to clamp it, because the glue expands as it cures.
