Title: Component Input Question
Post by: Walkinshaw on July 25, 2004, 11:52:33 pm
I can't seem to find all the possibilities on how to hookup a TV through component in.

I have read about the ATI + Dongle but are they any other ways of hooking this up ?

I have just recently purchased a 21" TV with component in and s video ports and currently Im using the s video option. I want to be able to see the difference using the component in's seeing as people here say its far better.

How can I connect this up or am I stuck with the ATI + Dongle option ?

Is it easy as making a cable from the PC to the component ins on the TV ?

Thanks

Use can go the dongle route or get a VGA to Component Adapter like this

I currently have one of these and the quality is very good.

With both options you will still need to use powerstip http://entechtaiwan.net/util/ps.shtm to set you timings.

Hope this helps

Would using a standard TV with Component Input and only 480i be better than S-Video?  Is it worth the upgrade to the dongle?

Thanks!
