So I picked up a Space invaders deluxe and a galaxian cab (no boards) from SKYHOPPER (aka pete 519-752-6467--feel free to call him with a question or to arrange buying your own classic cab) and have a few questions as what to do with certain things. First off, when you have to filla hole in artwork that is painted on the cab, do you touch up the area or do you paint the entire color region (i.e. all the red and not jet one spot of red) see pic: its where all the screws are--they are coming out so I'm curious as to what the best way is to hide the holes.

the side (just because its cool looking) ;D

Also, both marquees for the machines (galaxian and space invaders deluxe) typically have the paint pulling away from the glass--has anyone discovered how to halt and if possible, reverse this process? can i just touch up the affected areas or will that be like sticking my finger in a hole in a leaky dam? here's a couple of pics...

now the galaxian close up..

and like I was saying, Pete is looking to sell some more machines (from empty cabinets to fully working machines) You can ask me what is available (for the most part) or give him a call and see if he has what you are looking for. Prices are reasonable and negotiable but it is cash and carry. I had a good experience so i thought I would pass that along...
And no I don't receive a commission or anything (but it makes an excellent excuse to wander through arcades "R" us ;D)

As for the lifting paint, use krylon triple thick, spray it liberally on the back and the lifting process should stop.
Also, I personally wouldn't take all those screws out, unless you are a MASTER at touch up procedures.

Is this Skyhopper guy a member here? Can he just post what he has rather than having us strangers call him up and ask?? Where is he located?

he is brantford--i posted his number if you want to call him--I don't think he cares if you're a stranger ;D
Paigeoliver: I haven't used the krylon much--is there any shrinkage as it dries?--I'm worried that it will grab the back of the art and pull it apart as it dries.
As far as the screws go, I'm going to try my hand at patching and touching (assuming I get a decent paint match) other wise i will paint the screw heads red and have an "industrial" looking cabinet. Looks like I'm going to be the trailblazer as far as color codes go for these two cabs.
