I was wondering if anyone knew: If I got a gamecube arcade stick or two, and then plugged them into the computer using a GC to USB adapter, would it work in MAME?

It would work just like a PC usb gamepad and would work in MAME too. However, I think you would be better off constructing your own stand alone joystick or buying something like this: http://www.massystems.com/PS-NOVA.jpg (http://www.massystems.com/PS-NOVA.jpg). The console arcade sticks are generally pretty flimsy.

Go for it. Years ago I bought the Namco arcade stick for the playstation (yellow joystick/buttons.. dark grey base) and wired it inside to go into a standard joystick port on the PC.

However, I can't find a damnable two player adapter for gamecube controllers... I don't even know if one exists... I don't want to have to buy two seperate adapters, as that will be a lot of money... Any help with this would be appreciated.
