Title: drill before routing?
Post by: Scoobie on July 25, 2004, 12:54:34 am
While I'm waiting for my 1/16" 3-wing slot cutter to arrive, I'd like to drill all the holes and cut out the piece for the tb on my cp.

Is there any reason why I should wait to drill/cut until after I have routed for the tmolding?

Thanks!

I don't think so.  You're just going to be cutting the slot around it, after all.

Thanks!

if you route out a big hole close to the edge you might have problems keeping your router level when you are doing the slot for the t-molding.

Drilling would be fine, but make sure you have enough space around that tb.

Well, I drilled all the holes and cut out the tb.  Once the router bit arrives, I'll let you know what happens.   :)
