Title: Suggestions on My Marquee Design
Post by: namzep on July 23, 2004, 09:24:12 pm
I'm finally getting to the point where I'm starting to actually assemble my cab and, being the schizo that I am, my mind is also trying to decide on artwork for the cabinet.  As the title implies I am basing it on the Rod Sterling series "Twilight Zone".  I was hoping that some kind soul would be willing to design a marquee for me.  My cab is going to be black with white t-molding (with the only color being the buttons and joys, color which I am thinking about taking out) and I'd like a starfield type background (blacks, whites, and grays only) with Twilight Zone: the Arcade Game done in a font close to the font used on the credits of the original series.  I'd also kind of like to see a few otherworldly elements thrown in (maybe a door, clock, eyeball, etc...).  All done in black/white/gray.  The cabinet is based on Lusid's design so the typical marquee size of 7.75" by 26" would be fine.  If anyone can help I would be forever indebted.

Okay, I took a crack at the marquee.  Let me know what you think (along with any suggestions for improvement).  I am looking for a fairly simple marquee.  Thanks

I apologize for the size of the image but I couldn't get the starfield to show up well in any smaller of an image (and believe me, I tried).

Need something in the back ground showing the narrator's shilloute through the door.

Perhaps on one side, on a slant, you could add the doorway with Rob Serling's shadow, and on the otherside you could add a combination of the Swirlly-hypnotizing thing with perhaps a shadow of Pac-Man or another favorite character inside the swirly thing?

Looks nice the way it is though!  Nice and simple, the stars make the wording stand out a bit

  Good Job!  :-)
