Ok, Ok, I know I'm stupid. I should be able to figure this out on my own. But I can't. (http://www.atariage.com/forums/images/smiles/icon_dunce.gif) Can somebody give me like a walkthrough on how to get arcadeOS set up with Vantage? All I need is for it to work with vantage. I downloaded the extra arcade emulators file, with the file for use with vantage. I have vantage working by itself. I've tried changing all kinds of stuff in various configuration files. But I cannot get arcadeos and vantage to work together.

In the arcadeos.cfg file you have to specify your emulator as vantage.exe and the relative path.
To make the VAntAGE files type this at prompt:
vantage -genaos
and move those files it creates to your arcadeos directory.
You will have to change emulators within AOS, and I'm not sure what key does that. Return, maybe? You can also do it by the menu (accessible by hitting the '2' key on a stock install)

I did this and it just hangs. Arcadeos doesn't start. And then if I press esc and ctrl and all kinds of buttons(not sure exactly which one does it, I get frustrated at that point) it goes back to the dos prompt and says something like
Arcadeos
Created by
etc., etc.(I don't remember everything it says)
I'm trying this on a Pentium 100mhz, running dos 7 I think, 32mb of ram.
I get the feeling I'm doing something with the cfg file wrong.
Maybe you could possibly send me your configuration file? And I could modify it for my specific directory.
I've messed with it for hours, can't seem to get it to work :(

What kind of video card?
Arcade or VGA monitor? If it's NOT an arcade monitor, make sure that's specified in both the arcadeos.cfg and vantage.cfg files.
