Title: certain games' screens are way too big...any way to change it?
Post by: hulkster on July 22, 2004, 04:15:28 pm
okay, i was trying to play a game the other night, i cant remember exactly which one (using mame32) i start it up, and it goes into a larger screen so to speak, and its like way too big.  i have a 27" tv and all of my other games work fine, cept for a few, and when i try to play those, its like the resolution is not set correctly for that particular game, and its way too big and it needs to be smaller so all of the image will fit on the screen.  the game plays fine, but the screen needs to be made smaller.  understand?  any way to fix this?

Not at all familiar with TV out, but what I do on the PC is use Multires to lock my 800x600 res output at 85 Hz, scale that to full-screen on the PC monitor, and then tell MAME to output all games at 800x600 (mame.ini - resolution 800x600).  Then with hardware stretch on all my games are full-screen.
